Women's Ministry

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”

Hebrews 10: 24-25

Faith through Fellowship

There’s something special about being together as women – there is honest conversation, heart-felt encouragement, and laughter, even when we are in different life phases or stages. Best of all, there’s something special about women encouraging each other to know and experience the grace of Jesus Christ. That is our hope and prayer through our ministry with women at First Pres. If you are a woman, no matter your marital status, your work status, your age – you will find a place at First Pres to journey with each other as we come to know and experience the love of the Lord more.

Women's Bible Study (To Resume in the Fall)

All women are invited to join Women’s Bible Study: Thursdays, 9:30-11:30am, childcare provided.  We are currently on summer break, but will resume September 8, 2022.

WBS OPTIONS

THURSDAY MORNING | In-Person

9:30-11:30AM

This will include gathering time, large group worship and teaching, and discussion groups.  Childcare will be available with advanced registration. The teaching time will be recorded this day and we will post the recording so women engaging on their own can watch at their leisure.

THURSDAY MORNING | Virtual

9:30-11:30AM

Women are welcome to join by Zoom to watch the live teaching at 9:45 (or come early by Zoom at 9:30 to listen to the worship), and then go to Zoom break out rooms in smaller discussion groups.

THURSDAY EVENING | In-Person

7:00-8:30PM

Kimberly Robertson’s home
(near Robinhood YMCA)

If you work during the day, this is a great option!  Women will gather in the comfort of a home to watch the recording of teaching together and then join in discussion and prayer.

ON YOUR OWN

If you are not able to participate on Thursdays or Tuesdays,  but want to find a spiritual friend or handful of friends to discuss with, we will be happy to meet with you to help equip you for this task. These groups can be in-person or virtual as determined by the group.  You are also welcome to receive the weekly curriculum and do the study on your own, watching the recordings as you are able.
