wednesday night live
Wednesday Night Live is our affectionate name for our Wednesday evening programming that takes place during the school year. Normally, all ages gather for dinner and then scatter to various places on campus to sing, learn, discuss, play, and pray. This fall, our C-19 constraints mean that WNL may be more WNV (virtual), but regardless, it will still be Alive because the Spirit is with us, connecting us to Jesus and each other. Our current WNL opportunities are below, and if our C-19 restrictions lessen, we may consider adding back programming or dinner if we can do so safely. Stay tuned, and meanwhile, check out these great options to connect and grow:
sermon series discussion
- Format: Zoom; 7:00-8;00pm (Contact Amy Carlan for Zoom invitation)
- Facilitators: Peter Barnes, Mike Horne, and Heather Thomsen Tang.
- Dates: September 16 – November 1
This fall, our sermon series will be “Politics, Polarization, and our Christian Witness..” Instead of simply listening to a sermon, we want everyone to engage in this important topic and share thoughts, seeking to grow together. To that end, the pastors are hosting a sermon discussion group each Wednesday night. Reflection questions will be provided in the weekly church email, 1st This Week, each Monday that will be used as a springboard for discussion on Wednesday. Drop in any week!
bible study/discussion for women
- Wednesday format: Zoom, 7:00-8:00pm (Contact Amy Carlan for Zoom invitation)
- Facilitator: Amy Carlan
- Dates: September 16 – December 2 (except November 25)
We want to encourage all women to connect with the Lord, and each other. To that end, we are offering a flexible curriculum that has options for how to engage with Scripture, no matter how full your daily life is. We will be studying Jesus’s parables. We will also have flexible options for discussion, including this option on Wednesday evenings.
small prayer gatherings
In addition, we are offering on-going in-person, outdoor prayer gatherings on various days/times, including Wednesday evenings. The prayer gatherings will last 45 minutes and will include a short devotional, time to share and prayer, and possibly communion. No long term commitment is necessary – come to one or many, as fits with your schedule.
