Updates

August 2018 Update

With the completion of a staff engagement survey, new energy is being poured into staff culture with a focus on transparency and honesty. Intentional and regular conversations encourage direct communication amongst staff members, using principles from scripture as well as other resources like the Speed of Trust and talks from the Global Leadership Summit.

Regular opportunities for staff leadership to update program staff about the work of the Senior Leadership Team creates space for program staff to ask questions or seek clarification about the process of decision making, etc. Videos, books, and conversations help the staff engage in efforts to improve staff culture.

We continue to move closer to a goal of paying all our staff at the 75th percentile of salary surveys for similar positions.

In July, the Best Christian Workplaces Institute (BCWI) honored First Pres as a Certified Best Christian Workplace for 2018. This certification recognizes fantastic teams, life-giving work, outstanding talent, uplifting growth, rewarding compensation, inspirational leadership, sustainable strategy, and healthy communication. As BCWI noted, flourishing organizational culture enables the retention of top talent, high productivity, growth, and impact.
