Small Gathering Opportunities
We want to continue to love our neighbors, and protect the most vulnerable in our community, by graciously following restrictions aimed at lessening the spread of COVID-19. At the same time, we want to encourage and pray for one another as we all seek to follow Jesus. Many in our congregation have asked the leadership of our church to create some opportunities for people in our congregation to gather for fellowship and prayer, both physically and virtually. We are happy to create more opportunities for small gatherings which adhere to current restrictions established by our governor and local officials (for a quick guide to our state’s restrictions that we ask all people to graciously follow, see below).
The purpose of these small gatherings is in order to “build one another up” in Christ (1 Thes. 5:11).
There are two main ways we are creating new opportunities for community:
In Person Prayer Gatherings
Prayer gatherings will include time to share, time to pray, and a short devotional. Resources will be provided, and a pastor or staff person is happy to be present to lead the prayer. You may participate in one or more of these prayer gatherings. No long-term commitment is necessary. The schedule will be updated regularly as new prayer gathering are scheduled.
If you are looking for deeper relationship building and study, consider starting or joining a new small group. We hope to create both online and in-person groups that meet off-campus. The groups will meet from late August/early September, through December or May, depending on the group. Training and resources will be provided. A list of these small group opportunities, and sign ups, will be provided after leaders and locations are finalized (see below to express interest in leading or joining).
