Lent Short Term Small Groups

Lent is a special season of reflection and preparation in the church year that begins on Ash Wednesday and ends on Easter (February 14-April1). Lent is an opportunity to focus on Jesus’ passion and the ways in which the Lord wants to transform us more into the image of Jesus. One of the ways that the Lord often does His transforming work within us is in the context of community. To that end, we will be offering short-term small groups during this 6 week season.

The small group will use our congregation-wide Lent devotional with includes daily readings, weekly reflections, and 1-2 suggested spiritual practices a week, which you can do on your own during the week. Group time will include engaging with Scripture, prayer, discussion, and debrief on your experience of the practices during the week. Finishing the daily readings and trying the practices are NOT a requirement to be in a small group, but will be helpful. Your small group facilitators will share materials and more thoughts with you at your first meeting.

Below is the list of short-term small groups available.  Please sign up for the day/time which fits you best.  The groups are limited by size and will be filled on a first-come basis.   If there is no group that fits your day/time requirements, or the group you would like to join is full, please contact Amy Carlan, 336-723-1621 x228. May the Holy Spirit do a good work in us, together and individually, as we follow Jesus this Lent.
