Some teens will deal with sex. Some teens will deal with drugs and alcohol. But ALL teens will

deal with money!

What? Molly & Anthony Day will be leading this fun, video-based Bible Study for teens focused
            on how to handle finances wisely (the way God intends!). Each student will get a
            Student Journal & T-shirt. You can get more details here (daveramsey.com/gc).
            We’ll take two weeks to cover each lesson:
                 • The Value of You—God defines you, not stuff (9/19 & 10/3)
                 • Materialism Mayhem—debt is hazardous (10/10 & 10/17)
                 • Gift of Giving—giving is a spiritual act of worship (10/24 & 10/31)
                 • Money Minds—wise purchases, $ management, importance of saving (11/14 & 11/21)

Why? Empowers students with skills to spend and live wisely. What you learn could mean a

                                                                                       When? Sept. 19-Nov. 21, Sun. mornings, 10-10:45am
                                                     No class on 9/26 (Montreat—No Sunday School) & 11/7 (Testimony Sunday).
                                                                                       Interactive Materialism Maze bonus “lesson” on 9/12—all Sunday School students will
                                                                   participate.

                                                                                       Who? Available for anyone in grades 8-12 who can attend at least 6 of the 8 weeks of class.

                                                                                     Do I need to register? Yes! Just turn in a 2010-11 Youth Ministry Release & Permission Form
                                                                                   (if you haven’t already) and $30 (cost of materials for class)

                                                                                                                     by Sept. 12th to sign up.

Weekly Events – unless otherwise noted, events are in Bldg. B. see map.

Plugged In - is Sunday School for high school from 10-10:45am in Bldg. B! We meet for a time of worship, teaching and discussion. We are currently using a curriculum called Faith Weaver. This uses visual and story type lessons to bring the events of the Old Testament & New Testament to life.

Crossroads – is our monthly large group gathering full of worship, fun and a message. This is a great place to be introduced to high school ministry, anyone is invited to attend. We meet the 3rd Sunday of every month from 7:00-8:30pm in Bldg. B.

D Groups - these are small groups to help students move in their journey of faith. We meet at the church to dig into God’s word and see how it impacts our lives. Groups are divided by grade and gender with leaders who help them apply Biblical truths to their lives. On the 1st Sunday of the month, we have dinner before we break into our D groups. Starting this semester we are discussing the top 13 Questions about God. Answering the questions that students are coming into contact with in school and other circles of their life.

Missions – is our service opportunities with local mission organizations and mission trips. We believe we are blessed in order to be a blessing.
