Habitat Build Now Underway! Our Habitat for Humanity build with Salem Presbytery kicked off with a four-day building blitz beginning Wednesday, March 3! It's not too late to get involved. Workdays will continue each Saturday through May 15 (no workday on April 3). Workdays are 8:00 am - 3:00 pm. Construction crews do everything from roofing to paint. Can't swing a hammer? You can help pick up around the site, take water and materials to workers, or "sparkle clean" the house after construction is complete. No construction skills are necessary! To volunteer, contact Vickie Lents, vclents@yahoo.com or 924-9892. Volunteers are also needed to provide lunch for the construction crew on workdays. This is a great opportunity for a family, a small group, or a Sunday school class - and the biggest tool you have to wield is a kitchen knife! Contact Molly Warren, mkw005@gmail.com or 413-6900.
Encounter Easter... Face-to-Face with the Miracle Imagine being in the room as Jesus washes the feet of his disciples, breaks the bread and passes the wine. Picture yourself in the crowd as he is condemned to die, at the foot of the cross as his sentence is carried out. Think what it would have been like to see with your own eyes the empty tomb on Easter morning. It is sometimes hard to place ourselves in the events that happened so long ago, but they have real and lasting significance for our lives today.
