Adult Sunday School Classes at First Presbyterian

The purpose of Adult Sunday School is to help men and women become mature Christian disciples through the study of God's word and it's application to their lives. We encourage you to visit one of the classes and take advantage of the great teaching and fellowship time

FALL CLASSES All classes meet Sundays 10:00-10:45am

Core Class beginning Sept 12: New Testament Survey (Chapel)

+ Teachers: Amy Holloway & Jeff Gissing

+ Format: A short-term class that covers the big picture of the New Testament.

Each class stand alone, so you can drop-in and out as you are able.

(No class 9/25 or 10/3)

Eagle's Wings (Fellowship Hall)

+Teachers: Jim Johnson and Joe Moore

+ Format: Class of diverse ages which opens with worship and prayer, followed by Bible teaching in lecture

format. An emphasis is placed on community (shared worship with mutual prayer and support) along with

biblical study.
+ Participants: Truly multi-generational, this class is open to people of all ages and comfortable for people in

all stages of the spiritual journey.

Table Talk and Listen (A-207)

+ Facilitators: Tim Sechrest & Lori Gaillard

+ Topic: the sermon text of the day.

+ Format: Class begins with sharing prayer requests, praying for one another, and then engages in discussion- style Bible study led by prepared facilitator.

+ Participants: Open to singles & couples of all ages.

Students of the Word (A-208)

+ Facilitators: Billy Rice, Dave Meyer, Martha Lowry, Jeanette Wilhelmi, & Scott Wray.

+ Format: A prepared facilitator guides discussion and application of Scripture text.
+ Participants: Open to adults of all ages, with a focus on couples and singles with 30 years of wisdom or

more.

Covenant Class (A-211)

+ Facilitator: Sam Blythe

+ Format: Guest teachers are invited to share with the class using various formats.
+ Participants: Adults with 60 or more years of wisdom.

Journey (A-216)

+ Teachers: Megan White & Brent Anthony

+ Participants: This is a great place to connect with other younger adults and discuss series based topics. We'll journey through Scripture and have some great discussion in the process. Is this for you? Well, if you call yourself a "young adult" then YES. And if you're not sure, you're still invited.

Pathway (A-217)

+ Teacher: Griff Shuler & Yasser Youssef
+ Format: Lecture with general class discussion and interaction (no small groups). Emphasis is on daily life

application of Biblical study.
+ Participants: Open to all ages with focus on adults who are parents.

Discipleship Class (B-205)

+ Facilitator: Andrea Eller

+ Format: Each participant may study the selected text during the week to engage in small-group discussion

on Sunday, led by rotating facilitators from the class.
+ Participants: Open to all ages with a focus on couples and singles with 40 years or more of wisdom.

Women's Sunday School (B-209)

+ Facilitator: Suzanne Clark

+ Format: Women of all ages studying scripture and discussing Christian living.

+ Format: An in-depth and interactive study led by prepared facilitator.

+ Participants: Open to all ages with focus on adults with 50 years or more of wisdom.
